FAQs
Common questions before getting started.
Are you insured? ▾
Yes! I carry business liability insurance with $1 million in coverage. My live insurance certificate is available to view here.
Do you provide estimates? ▾
Yes. Most projects start with a quick review of item links, screenshots, photos, or project details. When the scope is clear, most jobs are handled as a fixed quote based on my $60/hr estimate. Hourly is available if you prefer it.
What areas do you serve? ▾
I’m based in Arlington and serve the DMV, including DC, Fairfax, Arlington, and Bethesda. Larger projects may justify travel farther out, sometimes with an added fee, larger deposit, or different plan depending on scope.
What if something cannot be completed on-site? ▾
If an agreed-upon task cannot be completed once I’m there — for example, a mount I can’t safely do or equipment I can’t configure — you do not pay for that portion of the work.
Do you charge deposits or cancellation fees? ▾
Most smaller jobs do not require a deposit. Larger jobs may require a deposit to confirm the appointment. See the Policies & Safety page for deposit and cancellation details.
What do I need to know about the Full Day Package? ▾
This is the safest option for large move-ins, full-home setup days, or long project lists. Because I block the day for you, I ask for a 50% deposit. Normal project-related expensing is waived, but unusually large hauling or disposal needs may require a separate plan.
What is the best way to contact you? ▾
The website form, text, WhatsApp, and email are all fine. I try to reply quickly, but I may be actively working. If you have not heard back after a reasonable amount of time, a follow-up message is welcome.
How do same-day requests work? ▾
Text first and ask if I have availability today. Send what you need done and any useful photos or item links. Same-day help is not guaranteed and is only confirmed after I reply. Same-day requests start at $120.
What about hauling? ▾
My vehicle is a 2003 Suburban, so I can carry most furniture items, especially before assembly. I can haul old furniture and project-related trash like boxes, but not hazardous items or general household waste. Box truck or pickup rental may be possible case by case.
What can’t you do? ▾
TV mounts, ceiling mounts, plaster/concrete mounting, wall-mounted Murphy beds, plumbing, electrical work, roofing, deck building, and general-contractor style projects are usually not a fit.
